11 Years Old...How did that happen?

Tuesday, April 5, 2016

There is no way I am old enough to have an 11 year old!  I just had him.  No matter how many times I tell my boys to stop growing up so fast, they just don't listen.  So here we are.  We have an 11 year old.

We started Greyson's birthday weekend off with a pool party with his friends.  He had a blast.  There were lots of laughs, silliness, and good times.

We were having trouble getting the candles lit.  It was so windy.  Every time we would get one lit another would go out.

Present time.

How many kids can you fit on a raft?

Birthday morning with birthday waffles.  So many candles!

Next, we headed to the mall to go ice skating. They have all improved quite a bit!

Lunch at his favorite place, Carl's Jr.

Back home for presents.

He was very excited over the new Diary of a Wimpy Kid book.

He wanted a "disco" light for his bedroom.

He asked for a Dairy Queen cake.

Happy 11th Birthday!

Grey and I ended the night with a birthday massage.  He loves this tradition.

Here is our 11 year old.  Hoping this is his best year yet. We have lots of fun in store for his 11th year!

St. Patrick's Day 2016

Friday, April 1, 2016

The boys were so sure that this would be the year that we would catch a leprechaun.  Last year we were pretty close.  The boys actually thought we caught one, but leprechaun's are tricky little guys. See how we almost caught him HERE.

So this year, the boys planned a lego trap to catch him.  They actually all worked together on the trap. Amazing, I know! I'll show you their trap in a bit.

We made glitter slime.  A huge hit in our house.

We made Oreo Mint Trifles.  So good!

We read a few funny St. Patrick's Day books.

The leprechaun trap that the boys made.  They were sad they didn't catch him this year, but they were happy with the gold candy he left.

The boys had their one box of Lucky Charms for the year.  They cost like $10 a box here, so one box on St. Patrick's day is all they get.  They, of course, loved it.

We ended St. Patrick's Day with Irish Potato soup, fried cabbage, Irish soda bread, and a Shamrock Shake.  Yum!

St. Patrick's Day was so much fun this year.  Maybe we will catch a leprechaun next year.  I have a good feeling about it.

Here is my Pinterest page where I got all my inspiration.
